Dear Friends,
I'm a physical anthropologist working for Antrocom Onlus, an Italian
association involved in biological and cultural anthropology
researches and divulgation.
One of our aims is to provide informations to students and young
researchers about the "world of anthropology", in Italy and abroad. We
are interested in knowing the situation of biological anthropology in
your country, and so I hope you can help me in this way.
For example, I know that in USA Anthropology is divided in four fields
and students can learn in "Departments of Anthropology". In Italy,
instead, we can learn physical anthropology only under "Natural
Sciences" and "Biological Sciences" courses at university. There are
not faculties of anthropology here.
Can you tell me, please, "how to" become a physical anthropology and
the organization of academy courses in your country?
Are there any sources I can consult to have an overview of
anthropological studies?
Is there any association for physical anthropology?
What is the job prospect of the students?
