Dear all,
For a timely dissemination of advances in statistics, Statistica
Sinica is pleased to announce the first call for discussion on the
following paper:
"Modeling and Predicting Probability with Outlooks"
by Mendel Fygenson
Anyone who is interested in contributing a discussion can download the
paper from: http://www3.stat.sinica.edu.tw/statistica/
(Please click
on "Upcoming Discussion Paper"). Submissions must also be made on-line
through the same site. Please indicate in your cover letter that your
submission is related to the discussion paper SS-06-160. An acceptable
discussion must be within 1000 words (excluding references). The
DEADLINE for submissions is July 31, 2007. There is no maximum quota
on the number of discussions finally accepted, but priority will be
given to those with unique perspectives, and/or mature insights.
Accepted discussions are treated as regular publications in Statistica
Sinica, and therefore are subject to all the copy-right and style
requirements. All accepted discussions will be published with the
original article and a rejoinder. Please contact Karen Li at (karen AT
stat.sinica.edu.tw) if you have problems of downloading the paper or
submitting your discussion.
