Carbon Storage

by psingh70@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sep 9, 2008 at 02:59 AM

Dear Colleagues,

It is said a hectare of wheat field could capture 150 kg of carbon per
year
and a matured tree could store 1 tonne of carbon or 3.5 tons of CO2.
My Q is how much soil volume or tonnage can you equate to this
storing these amounts within the soil matrix?

Thanks

Singh, P.
