Illuminant conversion

by "Bob" <nospam@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sep 26, 2008 at 01:50 PM

Hello,

I would like to transform reflective measurements made with a D65
illumination into D75 measurements.

I've tryed to use the chromatic adaptation formulas using different
methods
: XYZ scaling, Von Kries and Bradford matrix, but I have always a DeltaE
between the calculated D75 value and the real measurement made with D75
illuminant on the same color.
I there a better way to do?

I also have a hardware question: I do measurements with an X-Rite EyeOne,
I
can choose the illuminant before I measure, does someone know if
physically
the instrument have several illumination lights, or if it has only one
light, and the measurements are then calculated with a kind of chromatic
adaptation to take into account the illuminant chosen by the user?

Thanks a lot in advance!
Bob
