Range and Sensitive Axis

My instructor (one year ago) at a local university twice used these two
terms in an introductory Sensor Fusion course involving radar and
optics.

What are the range and sensitive axes in the below conversations?

  Here are good descriptions of the two completely separate lectures:

(1) ... if it's coming in at an angle like that it's range and
sensitive axis, it it's coming in at an angle like that it's not the
range and sensitive axes, ...

(2)... this post boost vehicle will move in the range and sensitive
axis, it will move to the side, ...
