Racal BT 360 series radar

by "duden" <mprism@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Aug 5, 2007 at 01:05 PM

This is currently installed on the ex RN vessel MV Hambleton used by the
charity Streetwise. The monitor is not working after we have had the
transformer replaced by a former RACAL engineer down South. The tube is
not
lighting up which suggests a power supply fault in the base usit. However,
I
am wary of opening up this box because of fear of X-rays. I am familiar
with
repairing TV sets of the 70s and 80s and the electronics in the monitor
looks fairly familiar. All power comes from the base unit and my first
thought was to monitor all voltages coming from that, though it is awkward
in practise.
We are trying to locate a service manual for this set. Also looking to buy
an identical model. The Racal BT 360 500 series is available. I cannot
find
out whether this is the same, a cut-down version or later version.
Any information would be gratefully received.
