I am one of the planners who developed a large Call Center in =
Springfield, Oregon. Primarily a business and facility expansion =
consultant, my company and I also deliver Emergency Action Plans for =
medium to large office facilities. An Emergency Action Plan (EAP) is a =
comprehensive system that describes how a facility prevents, prepares =
for, and responds to an emergency. While no one expects an emergency, =
history shows that they occur, and those that have prepared will be =
better able to respond.
We have recently completed the implementation of the Emergency Action =
Plan at the same Call Center in Springfield, Or.
Emergency Action Plans need to be customized to each company's business =
model, and then reviewed with official agencies such as the Fire =
Department, a company's worker's compensation insurance provider, and =
OSHA. They should also be implemented under experienced supervision.
Items that are true for me regarding the emergency action plan that I =
have developed:
=B7 Oregon OSHA said that the plan goes above and beyond what is =
required.
=B7 The Fire Department said that the plan is very good.
=B7 The people at the facility feel safer, the supervisors feel that =
they have participated, and in general what needs to be done in an =
emergency is not dependant on individual memory.
It should be noted that the plan incor****ates revisions based on input =
from the above.
I would like to invite you to review what it has taken to develop and =
implement an emergency action plan (please follow this link and then =
click on "Emergency Action Plan" to see the one file entitled "why =
eap.pdf ": http://briefcase.yahoo.com/jweiss),
and=20
to email me should you have any questions. If you come across any =
businesses that are in need of an emergency action plan, would you =
please keep my value proposition in mind? I also have a vision of =
getting some of the larger businesses to cooperate together to leverage =
an emergency response when one of the businesses in the group has a site =
emergency, and I have a track record of getting things done.
Thank you,
Jay Weiss
