am very new with IEC Standards and want to implement IEC 61508-6
software implementation. Problem is this i am unable to find the
formulas to calcualte the PDF of a single initiater/Logic solver/
fanila element.
the concept that i have percieved from the spics if standard are;
INPUT Parameters:
1- Type of logic solver: relay system, solid state system, IPS-PLC
system with pre-defined failure rate
data, or other, in which user free to enter failure
rate data.
2- IPF architecture for initiator and final element
3- Common cause =E2 factor
4- Failure rate of initiator and final element
5- Test coverage factors
6- Scheduled maintenance shutdown interval
7- Test duration
8- Repair time
OUTPUT Parameters:
1- PFD of initiator and final element
2- Revealed failure rate
3- Optimum manual proof test interval for initiator & final element

Here i am in trouble.

out ............. i would be greatful of you
you may refer me to some weblink/ attachment file/ written text.
If some one has a better understanding than me as i have mentioned
above plz guide me.
