Ok, I've done some experiments and my answer is:
The field DOES rotate with the magnet.

I have 'simply' removed the field from the hook-up wires. When there is
only a field in the disc, you can tell wheather the magnetic field is
moving or not.

Hint: Try to find out how the magnetic field can be removed from the
hook-up-wires. This led me to an interesting machine: A brushless DC-Motor
and Generator!
