Re: An investigation of professionalism and/or honesty of APS members

by khrapko_ri@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Aug 19, 2008 at 07:53 AM

Jack Sandweiss, George Basbas, Reinhardt B. Schuhmann, Editors of PRL
joined the keeping silence physicists who could say nothing against
the spin tensor.

Manolis Antonoyian****is, Assistant Editor of PRL rejected my paper
"Spin tensor of electromagnetic waves". He wrote: "Your manuscript has
been considered. We regret to inform you that we have concluded that
it is not suitable for publication in Physical Review Letters. We also
note that this a resubmittal/reworking of other manuscripts you had
previously submitted to Physical Review and/or Physical Review
Letters, such as AA10258L. Please refrain from this practice of
resubmitting the same work as a different paper onceit has been
already rejected by a journal.=94

My answer is:
Dear Editor, please refrain from nonreading of submissions.
In AA10258L "Inevitability of the electrodynamics' spin tensor", I
show that the spin tensor manifests itself in the works: R. Loudon,
"Theory of the forces by Laguerre-Gaussian light beams ondielectrics."
Phys. Rev. A68, 013806 (2003) N. B. Simpson, K. Dholakia, L. Allen,
and M. J. Padgett, "Mechanicalequivalence of spin and orbital angular
momentum of light: an optical spanner," Opt. Lett. 22, 52-54 (1997) S.
Parkin, G. Knoner, T. A. Nieminen, N. R. Heckenberg and H.Rubinsztein-
Dunlop, "Measurement of the total optical angular momentum transferin
optical tweezers," Optics Express 14 6963 (2006). A. I. Bishop, T. A.
Nieminen, N. R. Heckenberg, and H. Rubinsztein-Dunlop,"Optical
Microrheology Using Rotating Laser-Trapped Particles." Phys. Rev.Lett.
92, 198104 (2004). V. Garces-Chavez, D. McGloin, M. J. Padgett, W.
Dultz, H. Schmitzer, and K.Dholakia, "Observation of the Transfer of
the Local Angular Momentum Density of a Multiringed Light Beam to an
Optically Trapped Particle," Phys. Rev. Lett., 91, 093602 (2003). A.
T. ONeil, I. MacVicar, L. Allen, and M. J. Padgett, "Intrinsic and
Extrinsic Nature of the Orbital Angular Momentum of a light beam,"
Phys. Rev.Lett. 88, 053601 (2002).

There is no word about these works in the paper under consideration
"Spin tensor of electromagnetic waves".
