You could at least tell us what category the device fits in:

1.  It inputs energy in a non-electrical form, and outputs energy in an
    electrical form.

2.  It inputs energy in an electrical form, and outputs energy in a
different
    electrical form.

3.  It inputs energy in an electrical form at one time, and outputs energy
    in an electrical form at a later time.

And does it have any of these features:

A.  It outputs less energy in an electrical form than it inputs (and the
rest
    is output as heat).

B.  It outputs exactly as much energy as it inputs, so there is no heat.

C.  It outputs more energy in an alectrical form than it inputs, and thus
it
    defies the laws of physics.

D.  It gets hot when operating.

E.  It gets cold when operating.

G.  It emits sound when operating.

H.  It vibrates when operating.
